Sometimes not.antikvahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11819050587443158100noreply@blogger.comBlogger497125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5095295.post-38139183593919397062019-08-14T04:07:00.001+10:002019-08-14T04:07:31.119+10:00Must be a record!Oooh, look at me go! Another post lol

Miss 6 is having her birthday party this Sunday, her 1st ever friends party. Little Miss Mercenary has already worked out the more she invites, the more presents she’ll get.

Miss8’s chronic insomnia defeated her medication tonight, so right on cue, an hour after went to sleep, she woke up screaming with a night terror. So, I’m blogging :)

Mr9 was extremely well behaved tonight lol He’s been having constant mini seizures 24/7 & he has a hard time controlling his behaviour when they are so active but when the activity seems to reduce he suddenly becomes well behaved, it’s almost like a switch being turned off & on. He’s taking his medication without any drama though, unlike Miss8 who we discovered was spitting hers out for weeks while all the adults were thinking she had other dire diagnosis’s. Little horror!

So, oh yeah, we bought a house 2 1/2 years ago & now I’m looking at making a wildflower/cottage garden/container garden, so I’ve been looking at Bunnings website & local nurseries. My favourite thing to do with my Mum was to go looking in nurseries every Sunday arvo. So, also putting in native plants to hopefully attract bees & butterflies. As I accidentally killed $300 worth of plants earlier this year, this time I’m only buying a couple at a time to hopefully defeat my black thumb!

Suggestions welcome :)
antikvahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11819050587443158100noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5095295.post-72697348690668788742019-08-03T04:51:00.001+10:002019-08-03T04:51:17.280+10:00I’m awake. Again. Nothing like having a kid with severe epilepsy start jumping around randomly on the bed to get your heart going. No seizure luckily but he was trying to fit on the bed & pull his blanket over his head at the same time. He’s asleep again & I’m not lol Miss6 had her birthday yesterday, got almost everything on her list. Last night before bed she says I don’t want to be 6 anymore & wants to go back to being 5! 😂😂😂

Hopefully I can get some more sleep now!
antikvahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11819050587443158100noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5095295.post-47616771964726808262019-07-29T14:57:00.001+10:002019-07-29T14:57:38.233+10:002019Haha, another 2 years has flown by! Sorry.
So, lots has happened & still happening. Still have the 3 musketeers. I’m still arting, took part in a pop up exhibition with some good feedback:) Currently I’m into acrylic pouring & abstract art. If you’re at my house & stand still, you may become an art work lolololol

Anyway, must be off now, will be back in a day or so!
antikvahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11819050587443158100noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5095295.post-26515090935939410292017-09-04T14:28:00.001+10:002017-09-04T14:38:51.587+10:002013 - 2017 Hello, wow 3 years since I last posted. Oops. Lots has happened, we bought a house, have 3 littlies living with us since 2014, so life is very busy & filled with grubby little hand prints on the walls & always empty tummies that constantly require filling from the toes up! Stopped arting for a while but just starting again now, have just started a new illumination on yupo paper. Finished a certificate in art therapy. Working with 2 kids with FAS amongst other issues. FIL passed away after 3 agonising months for him, was very sad to see. Now J & H, don't have a heart attack when you see I've posted 😂

antikvahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11819050587443158100noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5095295.post-42364514917994115462013-08-03T23:26:00.001+10:002013-08-03T23:26:31.684+10:00New grandaughter :) Erika Rae born 2nd August at 11:18am 7lbs 12oz 50cm
Very. Not entertaining though sadly, but made us busy bees running up and down freeways & highways of Victoria. Ahh well, the joys of family. Everybody is now on the way to recovery, recovered and oh, yes, D2 is about to have her D1 on New Years Eve. My parents are visiting in Jan/Feb and our house looks like it's been sold, so not sure yet when we have to move by, but they may have to sleep in their car. heh. ( I kid, I kid!)

Workwise, I have had to take breaks, due to illness, surgery, not being home much & limited in what I can lug around with me but I've had enough time in the last week to start work on a new project. It's taking a bit longer than I originally thought to get the basework done! Hopefully it turns out how I see it in my head.

Youngest is doing very well at school, especially in Art [ heh!] Youngest Daughter graduated & now lives with D2 in Melbourne. Very odd only having one kidlet at home & he's nearly 18, so I feel a bit empty nested now as he informs me he is completely independent now that he can microwave 2 min noodles :D

They found what was causing the weird ankle swelling, it's from my PSA flaring and affecting my achilles tendons, that's what the leg cramps were from at Superbikes, not dehydration. Physio hates me! not really.

Ok, well, now that I've rambled, I'll be off to get some sleep. It's very hard to get back into the swing of blogging but hopefully I'll be around a lot more now I've posted.
antikvahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11819050587443158100noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5095295.post-37516934126226789432012-03-21T16:46:00.001+11:002012-03-21T16:46:27.418+11:00While I was away...I've been doing a lot of research on surface analysis on a change of medium and technique to see if it would work and I wouldn't be so hampered by the weather when working. Apparently it might. or not. Depends on who you read. Only way to find out is to test it really, so everybody cross your fingers they don't crack! [please and anything else you might like to cross, unless you might get stuck like that!] I also made the males in the house move my desks & cupboards around in my studio, so I have zones & more space. I've gotten quite a lot of ATC/ACEO's done as I kept finding inspiration as I fell down the rabbit hole and I've started using them as a kind of journal while I have my toe up in the air, they're a lot easier to juggle instead of a larger book.

All the new grandkids are doing well, along with their Mums. Gaining weight & becoming little people really quickly.

One Sunday we hit the freeways at 4am to go gallivanting to Phillip Island to watch the Superbikes. Caught up with friends and had a great day although it was a bit hot. My favouritest motorbike rider, Max Biaggi was the star of the show, 1st and 2nd in an absolute cracker Race2 after he ran off the track and came back on in 21st place & then flew back up to 2nd. Was the best race I've watched. EVER! and added bonus he's now leading the championship & has the fastest lap record at PI. We were all standing on the tables cheering as he came down the straight to take 2nd. Big kids we are LOL
1st!!

I got severely dehydrated and had to go home earlier than we planned, so missed out on dinner with everyone but they all enjoyed dessert for me. Evil friends I have! I had to be rehydrated so much that I can now tell you where every public toilet is between Phillip Island and Bendigo, surprisingly there a lot. I didn't get sunburnt but did get windburn and no, have no idea why I dehydrated as I was drinking water the whole day. The only thing we [ inc the Dr] can think of is the pain medication I'm on requires me to drink a lot more fluids than normal & it was when we had the mini heatwaves. Apart from that...????

I've broken the same toe twice now, once a few weeks ago trying not to kill a cat by stepping on it, then yesterday I tried to avoid killing the other cat, stepped on to the kitchen mat, slid wildly across the floor and the cupboard kindly broke my slide with my previously broken toe. I swear the cat smirked before she sauntered over to rub sympathy all over my face & then demanded to be fed. And everyone wonders why they're called Terra and Khaos.

oh! I forgot, I also play Words with Friends and Draw Something, my username is antikva so if you play, shoot me a game :)antikvahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11819050587443158100noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5095295.post-79393686892266076812012-01-16T21:11:00.000+11:002012-01-16T21:11:42.627+11:00wearing cement shoes, swimming in treacle!I don't think I've read this much in years :) I have 1000+ emails in gmail and wading through them is like walking in a river of treacle with cement shoes! So many add notifications for g+ , youtube, twitter and pinterest that I've now temporarily turned them all off, combined with an art workshop I signed up for sending stupid emails every time someone coughs! If you sent me an add request for anything, sorry, but it's going to take me a few days to get through them all.

I've set up a folder, so if you do email me, make sure the title is mittens and I'll see it straight away instead of it languishing in my massive to cull pile. If you have emailed me via gmail and don't get a response it's because I've now resorted to scanning the list & deleting in bulk & may accidentally miss it.

Add that to the busy bloggers who last week went nuts with posting :) and wow. just wow. Blog Land was a barren desert late last year and now it's like Christmas was rain & everyone is blooming again. I think I'm going to just mark all read and start fresh with posts.

I've been working hard and also following up some family tree research that was on the backburner last year, like everything else. I did make headway on trove & discovered his funeral notice & found he was married 2 more times and ended up using his middle name instead. It's definite as all the kids are named in the funeral notice & via a WW1 record for his son. Such fun searching for a needle in a haystack of Johns[t]on[e]'s so, if you have a Henry Vincent or Vincent or Henry Johns[t]on[e] born in Dunedin NZ in 1875 who moved to Sorell and Hobart Tas before 1896, I have some descendants for you :) He's also connected to the Johns[t]on[e]'s in Scottsdale Tas and his 1st wife was Florence Edith Gill, which is the line we connect with. Other wives were Ellen [or Helen] and Elizabeth. They lived in Murray St and also Liverpool St Hobart later.

The last of our daughters left home to make her way in the world, one kidlet to go...I can see freedom! LOL just kidding, sort of. Spent some time with the new grandchildrens, they are so cute and adorable, especially as I can give them to their mothers for the yucky stuff :) Both are happy chubby bubs doing all the right things before they should and keeping their Mothers on their toes and Nana in fits of laughter!

I'm waiting on a new phone to come in, it's worse than being a kid on Christmas morning! I usually use prepaid but this is a great deal and only a couple of $ more expensive than what I have now, so I will be joining the cool kid brigade :) Supposed to be here tomorrow, then I shall be app'ing away for a day or 2 :)

I can't promise I'll post every day but I hope to at least every couple of days again. Once I have my phone set up, I'll be posting pics of stuff that amuses me as well. I did go a bit nuts with family portraits over Christmas hehe, I was in their face trying for arty shots to put up on the wall. But, they all have to be similiar, the babies were easy, it was the grown up one's who were hard to get as they all kept pulling faces :) I should post those, they'd behave next time! LOL
The minute you think it's gone, it sneaks back LOL

While I was gone, I have 2 more grandchildren, one of each :) ermmm, 2 weeks apart [give or take a couple of days] Both Mums, Dads and bubs are doing well. One more great nephew to make an appearance and then that's it until next year at least. I entered all their info into the family tree straight away. heh. otherwise in 20 yrs time I'd be trying to remember what day they were born. [j/k]

We also got another kitten and Tera is getting on well with her since the 2nd day, she's called Khaos. Is a fluffy tortoiseshell. Both thunder race around the house playing then eat and go to sleep & repeat. Tera has finally stopped coming in at 3am and biting my feet trying to get me to play, so YAY, I no longer have to wear ugg boots to bed and wrapping the doonah around me like mummy wrappings!

The boy is home for a day as he was playing a kinect?? game with his sister chopping fruit and his arms hurt really badly ROFL ohhh, I mean poor kid, but it was funny, flailing arms all over the place. He can't even lift his arms up at all.

That reminds me, I have misplaced my fabric pens :( so need to rummage around and find them so I can finish off the bootees I've made. They're very simple but look wonderful & would make easy gifts, so once I've finished, I'll post a pic & pattern info. I have no clue where they are *sigh*

I'm working on some test crochet pieces for a workshop I'll be doing at the Kangaroo Flat Art Space and will post more info once I have it. One will be Christmas themed, inexpensive and make a nice present for yourself or someone who appreciates handcrafted gifts. You can also find more info on workshops and other happenings here at Handmade by the Flat

Plus, Chris Moule, another local Bendigo artist is hosting a workshop this week & next for ink rendering, so I'm going to those :) more info can be found here at Kangaroo Flat Arts Inc

And, now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to have a Nana nap and might not wake up until tomorrow.

antikvahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11819050587443158100noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5095295.post-57212671018943670722011-09-12T20:24:00.000+10:002011-09-12T20:24:05.934+10:00new blogger editor is interesting....Oops. I had a post in draft that I've just managed to fling off into cyberspace. Anywaaaayyyyy....

So, you know how I make the doodlebutz buttons? No? if not, then Cyndi at Mixed Media Artist posted a tutorial on how to make the buttons, so, me being little Ms Helpful [ I know! right... I was surprised too! j/k :) ] sent her an email and shared some extra info that I had discovered. If you want to try it yourself, whip over there and have a go! Don't forget tohave a wander around her blog, she's been on my blogroll for ages as she always has heaps of great inspiration.
and, I've discovered she's a really nice person too. Sometimes you email bloggers and they're not so nice or ignore you. She also makes gorgeous jewellery & beaded jewellery that a couple of you should go drool over :) Cyndi has made some great tutorials available as well.

You're back? So, onto the next news...
I have a joint exhibition from 17 Oct - Nov 1 with D3 but have decided to do something a little different than usual. Canvas is involved... eek! and acrylics rather than my favourite gouache. I don't even know if I can remember how to paint with acrylics...hee, just kidding. I'm also using my own concoction on the surface, so I'm hoping it works & makes the surface similiar to clayboard, if it does I'll post the recipe. I know it works with a board surface, just not sure if canvas has too much movement that it will end up cracking. Test piece in progress, keep your fingers crossed :)

Then, another one from 6 Feb - 20 Feb with 2 others [ not sure if they want me to say who at the moment] so I am flat out like a lizard. Luckily I've been researching both ideas, so really just had to flesh them out.
Possibly might look at another later next year that will be Illuminated manuscript based, depends on the weather over spring/summer.

Been concentrating on crocheting baby stuff as 2 daughters are almost at their due dates and I've been making some baby booties from material, which are so cute and tiny! Hopefully everything will be done by the time they're born. Also, been making some more forged by fire flowers, some for someone in case she wants them for her wedding, so just in case, I've been making the bases ready to sew specific colour beads later aaaaand some to turn into brooches. Also, did another couple of crocheted necklaces.

Some of my handcrafted items and doodlebutz are available at Kangaroo Flat Arts Inc gallery shop and I should get moving and put some up on my facebook page as well.

Discovered that I can still move when required, LOL, running [ ok, waddling wildly!] from the end of the platform Metro line at Southern Cross to the end of the platform VLine train home was interesting! 1 minute to switch trains saw both D3 and I thinking we should just catch the later train home, except for the fact it would have been crowded with football fans & race goers on their way home & probably standing room only. Luckily the wonderful lady conductor stood on the platform until we got on the train. Phew!

Off to eat my dinner before the cat does, chicken salad wraps.....YUM! chicken, celery, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, all chopped, add mayo, mix well, slap into wrap and roll...eat.

antikvahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11819050587443158100noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5095295.post-40176810295202495002011-07-12T00:26:00.000+10:002011-07-12T00:26:46.723+10:00oops...oh dear, it seems as I am neglecting my blog. I don't mean to, but life just gets in the way of actually sitting down and typing plus the effort of loading photo's via bluetooth which obviously has the irrits with me.

So, I joined Kangaroo Flat Arts Inc and we had our official opening on 1st July, our members exhibition is there for 4 weeks. We were opened by the Bendigo Mayor, Rod Ffyfe and we were also well supported by local business and community groups such as Rajmahal , Men in Sheds and Kangaroo Flat Community Centre.

I've started researching a new theme for another exhibition later this year and it's really interesting, so I keep going down the internet rabbit hole, finding so much good stuff to read and look at. I really need to go to Canberaa though to see some stuff in person. Hopefully I'll be able to wander down to Melbourne to check out some stuff at the galleries too. We are limited to bus travel while they repair the train line atm, so that will have to wait until the trains are running again.

I also signed up for pinterest, to help keep track of the reference material I've found. I love pinterest and have spent many hours looking at boards :)

I tore a ribcage muscle a couple of weeks ago and spent the time painfully resting in bed zonked out of my brains on painkillers, it's slowly getting better though and the level of the *argghhhh* as I sit up or move or breathe is finally going down the scale. I have been crocheting in short bursts, I'm working on new baby blankets as D1 is due 15th Sept and then D2 has her first in early October.

Oh, btw, I decided one day to sneak out of the house to get sugar, only got down the road when the car made a huge bang, started losing power, then kangaroo hopped & shuddered and finally shut down. Luckily I managed to pull off to the side of the road.

So, I'm sitting there thinking that hubby was going to yell at me for being out of bed, let alone out of the house :D and that I really did need to ring him because the car wouldn't start and there was no way in hell I was going to be able to walk home. After making my distress call, I got out to lean on the car as sitting was too painful, a car pulls up behind me, so I walk around the back and look down...

there's about 3 ft of what appears to be blonde/white hair trailing from the exhaust. Fleeting thoughts of Barbie dolls shoved up the exhaust by kids or shrunken heads and wigs as I stood there and pondered this strange happening. Fortunately my sanity was saved by the guy who'd pulled up who explained that the hair was in fact sound deadening fibreglass material from the exhaust. Ahhh, that explains the mini explosion I heard just prior to the car croaking it! Luckily he knew, because I have never seen that happen before.

Car is in the sick bay, awaiting a new exhaust system when it stops being so cold, rainy or hubby is not on call. In the meantime if I want to go anywhere I get to drive the manual beast, which means my travels are severely curtailed as holy crap it hurts to turn the steering wheel!

The only other things I've been doing is watching DWTS..happy Manu won! Amazing Race...sad the Big W ladies left so early, watching Australia's got talent..freaked out at the old guy aerialist...OMG! and watching the Tour de France and wondering how many are going to be left at the end! so many serious injuries already, I really hope they all recover quickly.antikvahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11819050587443158100noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5095295.post-15110926131355650772011-06-05T14:21:00.000+10:002011-06-05T14:21:23.786+10:00Woohoo! Yesterday hubby accidentally knocked a cup of coffee over my open laptop. We don't know if we can salvage it yet, so I'm on his, which altho is the same is not :( Luckily I backed up 2 days ago but not my new music

OTOH the youngest had his surgery yesterday and is recovering well with minimal pain. He kept telling us he felt like he'd been in a bar fight, which as he's never been in either a bar or a fight in his life was pretty funny. He was even more entertaining while he was high as a kite in recovery and kept asking us the same questions each time he woke up.

The nurses were lovely and he was well looked after with lemonade, jelly & icecream, although it was the longest I'd ever seen him take to eat it LOL . Stitches out next week and hopefully we won't have any more problems with teeth. 4 extractions, 3 fillings and a sealing.

Oh, btw, 2 of my 3 daughters are pregnant, both due 2 weeks apart. One knows what she's having, the other doesn't want to :) They've both had some big scares so I didn't want to say anything until they were past that and everything going well again. One's due mid to late Sept, the other early Oct.

Today I am just going to finish reading my book The Devil's Diadem by Sara Douglass. It's excellent! but I saved it for those excruciating waiting hours while the surgery/recovery was happening but didn't end up reading much of it.antikvahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11819050587443158100noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5095295.post-67714127564512776682011-05-04T02:21:00.000+10:002011-05-04T02:21:17.873+10:00Rolling my life away...have been busy nuno felting :D Good excercise for the arms & shoulders! Very tiring but I will have a beeeyoootiful scarf. Pics to come later.antikvahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11819050587443158100noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5095295.post-11529337815544947092011-04-11T13:37:00.000+10:002011-04-11T13:37:11.416+10:00finally...after 6 months?? [ not sure now, but seems like forever!] my vision finally unblurred 2 days ago. I waited to make sure I didn't jinx myself though :) but finally I can finish off work that has sat untouched mocking me.

I can read books again too & my computer screen is now back to normal size. Even with it set to the highest zoom, it was still painful after about 10 minutes to even look at. Some people asked if I had a short attention span when I posted on facebook or twitter because my replies were frequently hours apart :) Well, yes, I do have the attention span of a gnat...oooh, pretty shiny things!... but not that bad :)

Funnily enough, I haven't had the urge to be online as much as I used to be though. Surprised me, because I thought I'd be on the instant I could but I went out and bought 3 books to read instead & have some dvds I want to watch. I have lots of weird scribbles in my art journal so am going through them trying to remember what I was thinking at the time :Dantikvahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11819050587443158100noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5095295.post-34024986983081295392011-03-09T10:07:00.000+11:002011-03-09T10:07:08.042+11:00Sullivan Street - Away From Me (Available on iTunes now!)antikvahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11819050587443158100noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5095295.post-69354405018408358692011-02-03T16:54:00.000+11:002011-02-03T16:54:57.123+11:00Animal lover rises above disaster - People - News - Westside NewsAnimal lover rises above disaster - People - News - Westside Newsantikvahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11819050587443158100noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5095295.post-29795330456750146532011-01-28T23:19:00.000+11:002011-01-28T23:19:00.963+11:00helping hands

A member of my extended family, Emily Telfer lost her florist business in the floods even though they had comprehensive insurance she was one of the unlucky one's who are not covered specifically for the type of flooding that occurred. Redid profiles on Twitter & YouTube but still working on my facebook page. Working on some stuff to be loaded up into my shop, then I'll do a giveaway to celebrate.

So, hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and New Year. We got a new family member a couple of weeks ago, she still has no name :D
Yes, I do know what time it is. Stop looking at me like that, I've been busy.
Well, after the great 2010gmailhack I have scrubbed and cleaned every part of my hard drive, changed passwords a gajillion times and yada, yada, yada.

While I was gone, I have
- volunteered at this years MusoMagic workshop and as usual, the kids created a most wonderful song! They all work hard every year and this year was no exception.

-I got a new camera but haven't worked it out yet.
-Dealt with some family stuff [magic wand is now officially in a rest period]
-Dealt with various govt depts, who made me think I fell down the bloody rabbit hole backwards.
-Dealt with an after medical hours cemetery injury to a child, who should have known better but will never do it again! [ meh, he's ok but the merciless teasing continues, involving claws and dust :D ]
-Galloped up and down freeways, north and south.

-Painted. Ripped up painting. Painted again, wondered if I can glue ripped up artwork back together or add it to something else and call it Mixed Media. Painted again. Gave up and started a completely new one.
-Gilded while the weather was right for it.

-Did some lino cutting. and some finger cutting LOL Don't act all horrified, you'd all be more shocked if I hadn't! :D

-Made some new flowers for brooches and hair pins for a new project. [ Would say but not sure if I'm allowed yet, will ask as then you can buy some from them as I won't be selling them & some other stuff anywhere else :D ]

-Did some research on dragons and follow up research on Aussie Illuminators [ note to self: Need to plan a road trip to Canberra]. Drew a Christmas card image up and have started painting it ready to scan and turn into a Christmas card.

-Started a creative coaching course.

-Tried to organise a kids 21st. Failed. Tried again. Defaulted to BBQ. Oh, plus she's having a huge night at her sisters with all her friends in Melb. No, I am not going to that :D So all is good.

-Pondered climbing into the roof to chase out the possum keeping me awake.
-Discarded that idea as Not On Your Life as ermmmm, SPIDERS are up there!

-Wondered if I should start looking up plans for an Ark but have now abandoned that project in favour of sleeeeeeeeep as the possum has stopped running around! Nite everyone :Dantikvahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11819050587443158100noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5095295.post-11190692153253684592010-11-03T22:35:00.000+11:002010-11-03T22:35:23.230+11:00The Wedding!By popular request, here is a pic of the Bride & Groom! and the cake :D

antikvahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11819050587443158100noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5095295.post-82979315144965821882010-10-31T18:26:00.000+11:002010-10-31T18:26:21.292+11:00is back...as a certain lovely lady blogger friend [ who sends me the MOST AMAZING miniature persian rugs and who I love most dearly, more on that in a future post] commented on my Facebook status, just in time for All Hallows Eve :D I am the Quuueeeeeeeen of Bad Timing ROFL

The Wedding was wonderful, the bride BEEEYOTIFUL and the damned veil *I* ended up having to shove in her head did. not. fall. out. once...errr, well, except for when it got caught on my bracelet after the first successful insertion just before we left for the church... heh.... and is a long story involving $2 laundry bags, a cosmetic sponge and BOOST juice!

The bridal bouquet was not. tears and emergency additions with the help of Johnny the Limo Driver [ such a lovely guy!] made it more respectable. Many BOO's to the florist.

The Bride was late for a most important date and the rain cleared just as the Limo [ Thanks Johnny!] left the freeway, which was a most definite *PHEW* moment.

Then on to the photo's [ will put one up later, once I have bribed them] in the park and a drive by from the local constabulary who whooped the siren with much hand waving and smiles all round. Thanks guys :D Then onto the feasting and drunking and much merriment was had by all including our 15 yr old son who pwned the dance floor. All night long!

Then we drove the newlyweds to their home in the wilderness, then to the hotel in the city, then back to the wilderness, then hubby drove a bridesmaid to the airport for a 6am flight out, then back out to the wilderness to pick us all up.

Then we all drove home to Bendigo. The End.

As usual, I decided to add some fun to the fun and games and once we were home, did a partial twist with a reverse pike and smacked my head on the door frame before perfecting a horizontal landing flat on my back. A high score resulted with concussion, bruising and some damaged ligaments and muscles, so have spent the past week amusing myself with the level of dizziness I could invoke by trying to read credits on the tv screen. I still have some minor vision blur but apart from that am almost back up and running... errr, welll, almost :D

Just in time to start organising a birthday bash for the almost 21 year old.antikvahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11819050587443158100noreply@blogger.com4
