Antikva's big city adventure!

No cooking, No cleaning but Reading, Room Service and Restaurants for 3 days :-)
I'm off to Melbourne for this -

Conference: Imagination, books and community in medieval Europe
An international conference at the State Library of Victoria, 29-31 May 2008
This international conference will examine the role of the manuscript book in nurturing both the imagination and a sense of community in medieval Europe, focusing on continuities between medieval and early modern visual, intellectual and religious culture.

I had to change the commenting permissions, if you have any probs let me know.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Glad to hear you had a good time.
I got the brochure for this event, off the rack at Colac Library, just so I could share the pleasure with you.
My houseguest Pants saw it and revealed that she owns an illuminated manuscript!.

:-)reminded me why we moved though. I really am not a big city girl. Well, not a girl anymore either, but too much drama in the city for me LOL

Heart Attack, False fire alarms, a stabbing in the street that I missed by 5 mins, a brawl and cranky taxi drivers. sigh.

Totally worth it! I'm surprised I didn't have a cleaner following me along cleaning off my nose prints on the glass cabinets. heh.

really! lucky pants :-) I am so jealous!

I'm plotting a visit to your city to check out your collection there. S just has to work out what is killing the battery in my car!

Sounds like you and Pants are having a great time *g*
