Ooooh,I have a Motorola
ROFL Well, everyone says I sound like a 20 yr old blonde on the phone, so that would be about right.
Mobile makes demonstrate personality type NEWS.com.au: "IF you're carrying a Motorola mobile phone the chances are you are under 24 and fashion conscious."
and we're going along to see this tribute show next month because the kids saw an ad and thought I'd like to go because I missed out on the real Robbie. I'll let you know.
THE EGO HAS LANDED - The Australian Robbie Williams Show
Took D1 to hospital tonight, small scare with the baby but everything is fine. They told her to eat more and stress less. She's got 8 weeks to go and finishes work in 3 weeks, I'm running odds she'll have her the day after she finishes work LOL
I'm all set, I've got the extra memory card for the digital video camera *g* No, she doesn't want me to video the birth but I keep teasing her. The new camera has a higher res, so better pics of bub when she's born. She's still going to call her Khiala, I'm so used to saying koala? that 10to 1 that's what I call her for real. heh. I really am evil, but in a nice way, I swear.

Feedburning off the marked path
I bought a new book to read today. heh.
No, I was wrong in my choice for Friday's Feast, I got "William Morris by himself" [edited by Gillian Naylor] I love William Morris' designs. Sensuous lines that follow a path but wander off to do their own thing. Bit like me. the path going off wandering I mean *g*
I also changed my feed to feedburner, so if you have subscribed via my atom feed, you may need to change it over. Sorry.
S1 is all ready for camp. We ran around looking for a book that he wanted to read.
He's already read my Eragon books, so after much running around we found the next 2 books in the series Rowan of Rin by Emily Rodda. He's still a bit narky that his Dad hasn't been home for the last week before he goes.
I have to wake him up at 5am. That's going to be really interesting LOL
I'm so glad that we got that extra hour today!

Freaky Friday Indeed.
D3 went into the City today on a school excursion and we didn't know whether she was in the tunnel or not for a few hours. We knew the bus wasn't involved but they had evacuated the tunnels because of explosions and the fire and smoke,so we weren't sure where the kids were. They ended up coming back earlier than planned to avoid the traffic.
Then all the girls decided to butt heads tonight. *sigh* Over, of all things, curly fries. I won.
So, it's quiet here now. I'm waiting for Hubby to ring, he's somewhere in NSW. Not sure where and mobile reception is crappy at best.
And now the cats have started fighting. Geez.
It's still over 35C here,so I'm putting it down to the heat is driving everyone nuts.

I can't take a trick.

I wonder if they do these knee braces in this years fashion colours so I can coordinate my accessories?
My physio is going to be really pissed at me now.

I want to be a contestant...
I would like to mention that I tore my calf muscle whilst bungee jumping off the stair and finishing off with a cartwheel landing into the lounge room. Everybody scored my effort 10. I might enter the act into Australia's Got Talent. Red will probably love me.
So there.
Of course, as usual hubby's away for at least a week. Good thing my car is an automatic and did you know other motorists are scared when you wave a pair of crutches at them? Almost as good as the automatic finger I want installed in my bonnet. I drove Warrigal Rd in peak hour traffic yesterday, twice in each direction. At one stage I had a semi in front, behind and on each side of me. I got through the lights quicker though!
And, the chicklet at Macca's still managed to stuff up our order.
Testing at Valencia was on this week, then they go to Donnington. Max did well running 4th behind Bayliss, Xaus and Lanzi. All of them broke the previous lap record as well as Corser in 5th. Steve Martin lost his ride though, the team's run out of funds to run him. His teammate is still running though, he's financed by a different source.
Well, have to love you and leave you. I have to go visit the evil dr who will prodandpoke my VERY sore calf muscle and ask me why I am so stupid again. LOL
Nah, he's actually a great Dr.

I've torn my left calf muscle at knee level.

moving on
Well, looks like Bendigo will be the next stop on the list. I always wanted to go to see Hanging Rock :-) Far enough out of the city but close enough to get to.
I thought the cops were arresting a shoplifter down at Clayton but obviously not going by the news. This is who they were arresting.
I have no clue what is wrong with me today. I am restless but can't work out exactly what it is I am restless for. I can't sit still long enough to paint or read.

Way back when we were allowed to blow ourselves up with fireworks legally every year, I had a friend.
We were always in trouble, setting fire to the horse paddock trying to cook potatoes in their jackets, falling off the well tower and being chased by pissed off bees whose nest we disturbed in the coconut trees. Riding the horses bareback and pinching strawberries from next door's garden. We nearly died by twisting the swing rope so high it choked us and he was there again when I broke my arm in the wringer. He set fire to his bedroom making me charcoal to draw with. Our favourite show was the Banana Splits and we would run around madly singing the song.
He's gone.
I'm sad.

New version of site for client went up yesterday.
I forgot how exhausting/noisy having everyone at home can be. Every 5 secs the fridge door opens and the mournful wail of there's nothing to eat echoes from the kitchen. *sigh*
There's plenty to eat, they just don't want what's there. No junk food. heh. My passive aggressive method of torturing older children. They might move back out quicker. LOL

Gardasil Vaccine?
The girls are talking about getting the Gardasil vaccine soon. Has anyone had it already or getting it? I've read the side effects and they seem to be pretty standard so far for immunisations with nothing jumping out.
The side effects of cervical cancer treatment far outweigh the gardasil one's as far as I can tell. They've seen firsthand someone going through tests, surgeries and follow up treatment for it [me], so they're all adamant they're going to get it first chance they have. The oldest 2 have the regular test every 2 years and we all pay for Thin Prep tests as well.
A forum I belong to has been covering the Gardasil issue and a lot are against it, although they seem to be anti-immunisation in general . Most of the people in the forum are American and I just want to get some feedback from Aussie women :-)
After going through the treatment process myself [ I got the all clear in July 2005 ], I'm all for anything that makes it so you don't have to. So..thoughts?

Spelling rant of the day : It's LOSE when you have lost so much weight your clothes are LOOSE. Not LOOSE enough weight for your clothes to be LOSE. Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez! and these people are professional ad writers.
In other news, Hubby and I have turned into Madge and Harold from Neighbours. We have quite a collection of kids here. Some are temporary [ over to play] and others in transition [ friend with a neighbour drama] and then the semi permanent [here to sponge off the 'rents to save for a bond] and they bring all their worldly possessions and pets. Sending and Receiving Babies
My son has been entertaining the last few days...
Yesterday he told me that he didn't have a drink at the school water taps as one of the girls drank with her mouth on the tap, he didn't want to get babies. I was like hmmmmm, ummmm, ok, well, you can't get babies by drinking from the same water tap as a girl. He rolled his eyes at me and said Muuuuum, I SAID RABIES!
Then today he asked if alfoil could get hot. I answered that it depended on whether he was sending or receiving. ROFLMAO

D1 is complaining the baby is kicking her in the back, so I told her to get used to kids being a pain in the butt. hehe. she didn't see the funny side of it.
D2 is 21 tomorrow, I am making mud cake muffins with pink icing [ don't ask!]and then she and the BF are going out. We're having the family dinner when Mum comes down at the end of the month.
S1 is fast asleep with music from a computer game playing ???????? with both cats draped over and around him.

Maybe I could pay someone to be me for a day?
OMG I have to write a bio and promo piece on myself. Ack. I freely admit I am not the most socially outgoing person but add in self promotion and I totally freak out, my brain hits reverse and stalls, leaving more skidmarks than the hoon across the road. and now I've realised that people are going to want to talk to me and ask me questions too. Bloody Hell.
Maybe I could just do the mysterious artist in the background thing? I mean, it's the art they buy, not me. errr, ok, that doesn't sound right but I'm sure you know what I mean hey? [HA! I'm so freaked I've reverted to talking like a North Queeenslander!]
My mate Bob is still in hospital, he got bitten by a white tail spider and now knows why you should go straight to hospital, not wait 2 days. They may have to operate as the bite area is not healing :-( They've had him on morphine as well the last few days. Luckily he got his perm residency a few days before or the hospital bills would definitely kill him! I'm going up tomorrow to cheer him up *G* I already told his wife to up his life insurance as this is his 2nd run in with a spider in a month.

Our fantabulous weekend!
We had a great weekend! We always sit on the 200m mark at Superbikes as you can see nearly all the track as well as see the Super screen and hear what's going on.
Max is 2nd in the Championship after the weekend, which is excellent.Bayliss and Corser must have been a bit peeved after Qatar *g* This is only the 2nd round that he's raced in WSBK and he's in there mixing it up with Bayliss, Corser and Toseland.
We acidentally formed a Max section at our spot, I was wearing my fan club tshirt and people kept asking where they could get one, so they stayed with us during the races. Hope Max felt the love! ROFLMAO.
The races were excellent viewing! In the crowd all you could hear was cheering and lot's of Oh shit! as someone flew down past us on the front straight doing around 300kmh to go into Turn1. Fantabulously excellent to watch! especially Max as he was flying down the straight. I had my heart in my mouth a few times.
We went back into the paddock after Race 2 and watched the media conferences and hung around and got some signatures. D3 got into the media scrum outside Max's pit and took pics of Max as they interviewed him, so she's happy and now wants to be a motorsport photographer, she got some great shots over the weekend. She's doing a photography degree at Uni next year, so she has some good folio shots for that now.
I tell ya though, I couldn't stand all that attention the riders get, people grabbing you for photo's and not leaving you alone. I'd punch someone just to get away from them and be able to breathe. I don't know how they stand it. I know it's part of it, but still. I was freaking out having so many people standing around me waiting, so I kept moving to a clear spot, only to have more turn up! LOL
Anyway, so... was a great weekend. If you want to see pictures, you'll have to email me antikva@gmail.com and I'll send the link to you.
Back to real life. and work. I'll put up another WIP later tonight.

I am verrrry tired!
and sunburnt/windburnt. Is Antikva smarter than a hamster?
Obviously not! LOL
I won Pirelli paddock passes to World Superbikes from www.mcnews.com.au in a competition they held. So we hotfooted [ ermmm, it's 1 1/2 hours by car ]down and wandered around.
I met Max Biaggi as he was going into his pit garage for QP2 and he stopped to say hello and a quick chat. I was reading an interview he did recently in the programme and it's a good one with a positive slant instead of the negative one's most media seem to do. I did get a photo too but it didn't work :-( Ahhh well.
And yes, as usual forgot to ask him to sign my shirt. *smacks forehead* LOL This time I actually remembered to speak and formed almost coherent sentences ROFLMAO
We're taking the 2 youngest down tomorrow and then going to Cowes, so hopefully it will stay cool and not rain. heh.

Want to get lucky? Clean the toilet

CLEANLINESS has long been next to godliness for the hygiene-conscious Japanese, but fortune-tellers are now advising those who want to succeed in life to start by scrubbing the smallest room.
Cleaning the toilet to attract luck published this month is the latest in a series of books advising readers on how to attract good fortune using a brush and an array of cleaning fluids.
"Don't just wipe the floor, polish it," the book instructs.
"It's important to maintain a positive mood while cleaning."
